Library Facility

The Floyd S. Hayden Memorial Library/Learning Resource Center is a two-story, 33,000 square-foot facility containing 34,323 print volumes, over 318,000 e-books, 2,038 physical audiovisual titles, 38,970 streaming video titles, and a wide variety of textbooks on reserve. The library also subscribes to 41 databases, providing full text access to more than 27,000 periodicals, which are searchable on or off campus. The library catalog can be accessed online through the library's home page.  

 

Library facilities feature individual seating for over 450 including individual study carrels, tables, and soft seating. Students can reserve one of 18 study rooms online (12 on the first floor and six on the second floor). The first floor also includes access to a large multi-purpose study room and a Quiet Study Room.

Students also have access to 250 student computers, including seven computers that are inside study rooms. Computers are available in the Research Help and Media areas, and Chromebooks and laptops may be checked out for use in the library from the Media Desk on the 2nd Floor.  Adaptive technology is available to visually impaired students including adapted keyboards. Black and white, color printing is also available in the library. Students are invited to explore the library's many resources and services, to become acquainted with the staff, and to use the library as a pleasant place to study and relax.
