The U.S Major Dailies database provides access to the leading national newspapers in the United States, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Chicago Tribune.
Step 1: Access U.S. Major Dailies via the library website

Step 2: Enter relevant search terms to find articles matching this week’s course topic.
Use course vocabulary for precise results (e.g., “separation of powers,” “right to privacy,” “fairness doctrine”).
Narrow results by date: select only articles published within the past month

Filter by publication if needed (e.g., select only New York Times).

Step 3: Review your results. Read full articles by clicking the title.
Save links and citations for your assignment.

For daily browsing in the major newspapers:
Step 1: In U.S. Major Dailies, choose “Publications” then select a newspaper.

For instance, click “New York Times.”
Step 2: By default, a list of the articles of the current issue will show. You can also choose which issue to view.

Step 3: Click on the title of the article to read it.
