You know that a literary analysis is when you take a part of the story and break it down using your own interpretation. Did you know that people have been doing this pretty much since the beginning of the written word? It's true! And the library has lots of databases that you can use to explore other literary analyses and find articles to help back up your interpretation.

JSTOR is another database that is good for literary criticism.

One way to navigate JSTOR is by breaking it down by subject
As you begin your research it is important to know what kind of information you are looking for. Remember that you are not writing a book report on the novel. You are looking at a specific theme in the novel and relating it back to issues of today. Think about what subjects interest you and how you can best phrase your search query.
For example, say your topoic relates to Frankenstein and our modern use of AI. You may choose to use keywords like "artificial intelligence" "impacts" or "consequences".

Start out in advanced search. A good first search is the name of the work and the name of the author.

Once you get the results try using the search within feature to narrow things down a bit.

See? Much more managable!
