Social Issues Researcher (ProQuest SIRS)
SIRS is a subscription database that requires a database login and password.
Currently registered students, faculty and staff may access the library databases on and off-campus.
SIRS includes full text articles (1989-) on social issues
from over 1500 newspapers, magazines, journals, and government documents.
It also includes maps of the world, pro/con viewpoint essays, and research topics ideas.
Search by KEYWORD(s) or phrase
SIRS provides individual articles in addition to collections of articles on special topics they call "Leading Issues".
Leading Issues collections offer background information on the topic, an essential question, links to viewpoint articles that address the question, other critical questions and a timeline.
In the search results, use the left menu to select a Source Type or limit search by Date.
Use the Citation tool to copy/paste a citation into your document.
